In their 1982 statement Fulfilled in Your Hearing, the U.S. bishops hoped for the continued renewal of the ministry of preaching in the Catholic Church. This conference seeks to reflect on that charge from the vantage point of 30 years later. The conference is open to all those interested in supporting the ministry of preaching.
 
Conference Aims:
* To celebrate the renewal of Catholic preaching since Vatican II, and especially since the promulgation of Fulfilled in Your Hearing 30 years ago
* To lift up and engage the formidable ongoing challenges of the ministry of preaching given in Vatican II, Evangelii Nuntiandi, Fulfilled in Your Hearing and Verbum Domini
* To reflect on the changed circumstances and new challenges for preaching arising in our increasingly plural context
 
Registration Fees:
Registration fee of $200 includes all meeting materials, conference refreshments, Monday evening reception and Wednesday banquet. There is no registration fee for Scholarship awardees. Notre Dame, Saint Mary's and Holy Cross College faculty, staff and students; there is no registration fee.
 
Lodging:
There is a block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn the nights of June 25, 26 and 27. The rate is $128.82 and includes a hot breakfast and applicable taxes. You may contact them directly at 574-234-5510 and be sure to tell them you are with the "We Preach Christ Crucified" conference.
