Applicants can choose to be considered to be active participants or observing participants. Please indicate your preferred category during the registration process.

Please indicate career status during registration process: student, composer, conductor, organist, church music director, cantor, other (specify).

Please indicate dietary restrictions during the registration process.

Active participants

The organizers will select a small number of Active Participants among composers, conductors and church music directors, who will present their sacred music compositions for critique and /or conduct the choral ensemble in the choral readings and participatory methods workshop. If you are interested in being selected as an Active Participant, please register before August 15 (Early Bird Registration), and follow the application instructions below. The organizers will select Active Participants on the basis of artistic merit, also seeking to obtain a balanced array of professional approaches to the topics of the conference. Candidates who are not selected will be registered automatically as Observing Participants.

There may be a small amount of funding available for active participants. Please inquire about funding via email.

Application Procedure for Active Participants:

Composers and Conductors: Proceed to registration online before August 15 and check the Active Participant Box. Also, please send us an email with the subject "Sacred Music Conference". Indicate your wish to be considered as an active participant, and send a 3-page or shorter vita accompanied by website links to video and/or sound files BY EMAIL ONLY to Janet Rudasics, Sacred Music at Notre Dame.

Observing participants will not be expected to share compositions or papers, and will not participate in choral readings. However, they will be invited to all panels, lectures and workshops and are free to establish personal professional contacts with the faculty and performers.
